Our paper titled ‘A Gait Assessment Framework for Depression Detection Using Kinect Sensors’ has been accepted for publication in IEEE Sensors Journal.
This innovative research addresses the pressing need for timely depression detection using gait analysis. Our proposed framework utilizes Kinect sensors to implement a non-intrusive and real-time approach. By combining novel time-domain and frequency-domain features with spatial geometric features, we achieved a remarkable classification accuracy of 93.75% in distinguishing depressed individuals from non-depressed ones.
